Not a lot to say about this, simply noting that for yesterday’s trip to McDiarmid Park Ross County were forced to alter their normal, all-white, away kits (St. Johnstone wear white shorts at home) by wearing their home shorts for the match. I quite like this look and wouldn’t mind seeing them use it more often. I think it looks sharp in general and I’m a bit “over” the monochromatic looks a lot of clubs have adopted in recent years.
This (the color clash) is something that has happened at least each of the last three seasons (St. Johnstone have worn white shorts each season that County have been in the Premiership), though I’m not sure how it was handled. In each of those seasons County’s home kit was all blue so they may have done the same thing as they did yesterday. In 2014-2015 County’s Red-White-Red away kit was sufficiently different from St. Johnstone’s Royal-White-Royal to not warrant a change. In case you’re wondering what County have worn away since joining the top flight…
That’s it, just pointing out something I noticed- and liked!
(On an unrelated note, County’s seasons in the Scottish top flight are starting to pile up!)
