I See Things Are Going Well At Caley…

Look out, League One, they’re coming!

Inverness Caledonian Thistle F.C. played (and beat) Peterhead F.C. on Saturday in the IRN-BRU Cup, but that was hardly the most interesting that took place at the Dump over the weekend (in front of only 930 supporters it should be said, and not all of them there to see Caley).  No, that came in the 87th minute when manager John Robertson put on old friend Alex Cooper (who I’m happy to see is doing well so far this season) in place of Liam Polworth (who scored in the second minute).  Polworth didn’t seem to have any problem with Robertson, but there did seem to be some “tension” between Polworth and coach Scott Kellacher- take a look:

Winding up to…shake his hand?

That’s not how you shake hands, son!

This is my impression of a rabid beaver.

It’s nice that through the whole episode the trainer is there with Lucozade and water at the ready- gotta make sure everyone stays hydrated!

I guess being in the relegation playoff spot in the Championship only months after being relegated from the Premiership can be stressful and those long coach rides to Stranraer and Ayr United next year aren’t going to make things any better.
