The Rumor Mill: Rumor Round-Up!

There was a lot of chatter today on the internets regarding potential roster moves by Ross County F.C. so let’s take a look at them.

Oh, right, but first, Luke Leahy decided to return to England and signed with Walsall F.C., so you won’t see him in a County shirt next year.  Alright, here are some people you might see in a County shirt next year!

Stephen Hendrie:  Signed by West Ham United (who beat out Swansea and Crystal Palace for his signature) after playing over 100 times for Hamilton Accies, Hendrie never a senior appearance for the Hammers, nor did he see many minutes when loaned out to Southend United and Blackburn Rovers, which probably explains why he was released by West Ham.  The 22 year old left back is a Scotland U21 international and rumor has it that he has been offered a trial with County once preseason starts.

Josh Meekings:  After making over 200 senior appearances for Caley since 2011 it appears that the out of contract center back has his eyes fixed on a move across the bridge to the Home of Highland Football™.  The general consensus among County supporters seems to be that he would be more than welcome to trade the Dump for Victoria Park.

Matt Green:  As mentioned here a week or so ago, County appear to have their eyes set on former Mansfield Town (among others) striker Matt Green as a potential/possible/probable replacement for Liam Boyce.  The rumor now is that the club are already in contract talks with the 30 Englishman.  My only question is, when this is done, does that mean Liam is gone?
