As a result of his contact with an official in the last match of last season Jermaine Jones has been suspended for six matches by Major League Soccer, an organization he is no longer a part of- he’s out of contract with the league and with the New England Revolution. BUT, if he signs with another MLS club the suspension will kick in. Mexico/Brazil/Europe here he comes!
Speaking of the Revolution, let’s re-cap: signed no free agents yet, took nobody in the re-entry or waiver drafts (or are those the same things…sometimes I think Franz Kafka runs MLS), so, nothing. Also, how’s that soccer-specific stadium coming along. Such a frustrating club sometimes. All the time. Every time.
I can’t even bring myself to write about this. What a mess. Just wind them up and let everyone get on with their lives.
Manchester United are rumored to want to buy Gareth Bale, Harry Kane, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Neymar. And one or any of them would want to join the club…why? Ah, right. Money, money, money. I’ll tell you what though, if they pull off even two of those moves the whole landscape of the Premiership will change in an instant.
Michael Gardyne will be back for Ross County this weekend as they take on Hamilton Accies. Midge has been out for a month and County have only one win in their last five matches. That’s not a coincidence.
And here’s the good, albeit, non-soccer related news: Mystery Science Theater 3000 crushed it’s Kickstarter goal and will return for 12 episodes plus a holiday special in 2016. I don’t often describe myself as giddy, but I certainly am tonight!
