WeeFuse Is On The Road!

America's Dairyland!

Tomorrow I am off for my annual “bonding weekend” with my best friend Dan, though, to be honest, if we haven’t bonded after 30 years of friendship…  This year will mark the ninth annual meeting of the “Society of Rugged Intellectuals,” of which Dan and I are the only members- and membership is closed.

As you may know we alternate years between taking part in a competition (off-road duathlon, adventure race, etc.) and visiting a city (Memphis, Cleveland, etc.) this year is a “city” year and we will be exploring the Greater Milwaukee Area.  Average daily high is expected to be 72, average night time low is expected to be 55- that’s pretty much my climatological “sweet spot.”

I’ll be providing daily updates of where we’re going and what we’re doing and, if it’s possible, I’ll try to publish a few words about the Ross County – Patrick Thistle and New England Revolution – Montreal Impact matches either late Saturday or early Sunday, but other than that you’ll have to wait until at least Tuesday for anything else.

My flight takes off at 5:00am tomorrow morning so I should go to bed at…noon?

My wife is from right outside Milwaukee. Been on vacation there 4 times and all I’ve found is that they have great dog parks and a pretty good airport. I’m sure one time we will actually do something besides visit her friends and family or take our dog to various parks, but not so far. hehe Enjoy your trip, as this and October are the best times of the year, weather wise.

I’m looking forward to the eventual slide show. And you know I’m not kidding.

I don’t know if it is still there but 20+ years ago there was a fun place called the Import/Export. The password to get in is “I am looking for a safe house”
