Rumor is Don Garber is already figuring out how to get him to the Galaxy because, you know, he’s Mexican and there are no other clubs in MLS with Mexican/Mexican-American fanbases that would benefit from having a Mexican international on their roster.*
Here’s how it will work:
You know what, though? They can have him. He lasted one season at Barcelona, he was loaned out three times in four years at Spurs (once to Ipswich Town- ouch!), and last season with Villarreal he started only 15 matches and was subbed out of 11 of them. I’ve never understood what all of the hype is about.
*Well, I mean, except for San Jose, Houston, Dallas, the new L.A. franchise, probably both New York/New Jersey clubs. There are certainly no Mexicans in Chicago, Boston, or anywhere else.
