This Is Why It’s Called “The Beautiful Game”

I’ll be back tomorrow with a breakdown of the Revolutions victory last night (as well as a few thoughts on Ross County’s first match under new boss Jim McIntyre), but until then I just want you to watch this…again and again and again.

That’s as good a team goal as I’ve ever seen the Revolution- or any other MLS club- score.

That’s the ball stolen by Diago Kobayashi, passed ahead to Lee Nguyen, back-heeled by Nguyen to Jermaine Jones, chipped by Jones to Charlie Davies, Davies flicks the ball on to Nguyen (who continued his run kids!), Nguyen takes a touch around the goalkeeper and chips the ball over the remaining defenders.

So.  Nice.
