I could talk about Ross County’s 2-1 loss at home to Motherwell today, but I don’t want to. Suffice it to say that thanks to results in other matches County are no worse off than they were before the loss.
In addition to continued rumors surrounding the presence of defender Yann Songo’o and midfielder Haukur Páll Sigurðsson training/on trial with the club, there was a development surrounding the future of former County defender Evangelos Oikonomou. Not only did he attend today’s match, he was sitting in the stands with the senior players who were not included in the match day squad.
As far as I’m concerned, his presence, in this manner, passes the “duck test”:
If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it probably is a duck.
For those not familiar with inductive reasoning, this means he’s going to sign with Ross County F.C. again.
I don’t want to pin all of the club’s hopes on one man, but it’s what I have to give me hope at the moment!
