In perhaps there most dominant performance as an SPL side yesterday Ross County defeated then-2nd place Motherwell 3-0. If was County’s third win in a row and extended their unbeaten streak in the league to 8 matches. The win also vaulted the Dingwall side to 5th in the Scottish Premier League table and regardless of today’s result between Hibernian and Dundee United, County will finish the weekend in no worse than 6th place- let’s all home for a 0-0 draw!
County’s goals came from Ivan Sproule (above), captain Richard Brittain, and Iain Vigurs. County’s clean sheet also sees them remain second only to first place Celtic in the number of shutouts in 2012-2013. Beyond that, only Celtic and second place Inverness Caledonian Thistle have fewer losses than County this season.
I’ll end this brief recap with this: County have a match on Tuesday against Aberdeen. Two points from Europe, and if they win they will be tied (on points) for second place.
(If you’re wondering, I had to keep busy)
