Once again…HOW DO YOU NOT LOVE THIS CLUB!?
Courtesy of the Ross County F.C. Facebook page comes the following graphic:

This shows the percentage of stadium capacity that has been filled thus far in the 2012-2013 stadium. What that means in real numbers is that County are pulling in about 4610 supporters per match (counting away supporters, which can be less than 100 or well into the 100s depending on the opponent) at Victoria Park Global Energy Stadium, which has a capacity of 6,300. Here are a few other things to keep in mind:
- All clubs have to set aside a certain number of seats for the away support, so the percentage of available seats filled by home supporters is well above 73.2%
- The population of Dingwall is about 5,500. The club on this list based in the next smallest city/town is Inverness Caledonian Thistle in Inverness, which is twelve times larger than Dingwall.
- Because County’s fanbase is spread across the Highlands and Islands, many County make longer treks to “home” matches than the away support of just about any club save Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
- Speaking of “them,” 56% capacity at a stadium you can walk to from downtown Inverness?! Poor. Very poor.
Yeah.
Rock on, Staggies!
