This edition of Prime Minster’s Question Time was a spur of the moment kind of thing but I’m pretty sure you’ll find it both enjoyable and a challenge. Perhaps the most exciting part of it- for me anyway- is that I’m going to do it along with you! Without any further ado, here is your/our task: See if you can name an American player who has played for every one of the current clubs in the Football League (Premiership, Championship, League One, & League Two) since it took on its current format (1992-1993).
Should the need exist for a tie-breaker the first one will be how many American players one can name on former League clubs, i.e., clubs now in the National Conference. If that’s not good enough, the second tie-breaker will be how many players one can name from the non-Old Firm clubs in the Scottish Premier League.
I don’t know about you, but I’m getting to work right now!
UPDATE: I’m at 67 of 92 clubs so far!
Fiendish. I like it. Game on.
Found two more!
Thirty-six unique Americans thus far. May have to resort to the “fill in” rule soon, in which case I can boost it to something near 45 clubs. I think.
Two Conference teams accounted for!
My 58 includes multiples, but that’s mostly out of laziness!
54 with multiples, plus 4 Conference teams. Trying again tomorrow; have to be missing a few easy ones.
Haven’t tackled the Conference yet.
So far I’ve got 41, with 15 non-league and 6 Scottish teams.
Alright, I’m up to 52/19/7.
I’m not bothering with the Conferences/SPL until I see that somebody has beaten my 58.
/gauntlet thrown
I got a little creative and got to 61
Now I’m at 63 League teams, 26 non-league, and 11 Scottish teams
Uh-oh, sounds like I need to get to work!
62 in Premier/Football League. Now we start digging.
UNCLE. My eyes are bleeding.
Yeah one point I was DETERMINED to win…then I just wanted to be done.
