An Early Thanksgiving?

It goes without saying that, after getting their first Scottish Premier League season off to a solid start, the last month or so has been pretty shaky for Ross County F.C..  I’m not worried and I don’t think I’m going to become worried because, well, Dundee F.C. are about 99% sure to be the club that gets relegated at the end of the 2012-2013 season.  I also think County are going to improve (they have started scoring goals lately!) as the season goes on, so I think it will be okay.  Still, I thought I’d rattle off a few reasons why, no matter what is happening or what happens, this has already been a good season.

  • I can watch a well-produced “official” highlights package every week- not grainy, shaky footage taken by somebody at a match with a cellphone.
  • Ross County stories and stats are on the front page of any website I go to, no more click, click, click until I get to the correct “sub-page.”
  • FIFA ’13
  • The international breaks actually mean something because a County player could conceivably be considered to play for Scotland (or England, or Northern Ireland, or Switzerland).
  • For only the second time in club history the kit sponsor is a firm from outside of the Highlands.
  • R-E-S-P-E-C-T

Kinda nice…
