This video is unrelated to the post, but the song is incredible and I think you should listen to it as you are reading.
It pains me deeply when real life intrudes on my efforts to become the Mark Twain/H.L. Mencken of the soccer blogosphere but, alas, that is exactly what has happened. Those of you who pay attention to the calendar in the side bar may have noticed that my output during this past month has been, to say the vary least, sporadic. In the past my goal has been never to let two consecutive days pass without putting up something for you to enjoy, which usually results in at least five days of new material a week. As you can see from the calendar, that has not been the case much lately. This is all the result of a change in my weekly schedule which, while it makes my non-internet life easier, will require some changes around here. Granted, part of the problem was my mini-vacation to go race my mountain bike in Virginia, but even accounting for that, a change needs to be made.
You’re most likely to notice this change in two areas. First, there will rarely be a Saturday post. Anything that happens on Saturday and is of interest to me (like today’s Ross County match against St. Mirren or tonight’s Revolution match against…somebody…I can’t be bothered to look it up…they’re awful…) will be dealt with by mid-afternoon on Sunday. Second, it also means that there is going to be more content early in the week as we move forward. In short, things will be pretty busy around here from Sunday afternoon through Tuesday night in most cases and a little less busy the rest of the week. I’m not sure who all the details will shake out, but I should be up to my “5 days of action” per week output pretty quickly. Until then, perhaps you’d like to go back and take a look at the most popular posts of the past week…
