Today’s mail brought me a package from the fine folks over at Pothunting. In that package was the excellent 1923 Fall River Marksmen t-shirt you see above. Ted, at Pothunting, liked the first installment of “Scots in American Soccer” and sent the t-shirt along to me as a “thank you” to me for writing it- I’m happy to return the favor by giving his site/company a little pub here at the Tanner Ba’- the first time I’ve done this, by the way.
You can click through and see what Pothunting is all about- and where they got the name- but basically they are doing their part to piece the fragmented history of the game in United States back together and to make themselves a little cash in the process- I wish them good luck in both endeavors. They’d also probably appreciate it very much if you have any information to help them in their quest to give recognition to the American clubs of bygone days!

Cool! I sent them a link to the article on Twitter (@pothunting) as I figured it was something that was right in their wheelhouse – glad they liked it so much.
Thanks, man! Feel free to send things to other sites that will send me free stuff!
Sadly, I’m not that well connected – the best I can do is forward any MLS pro/rel articles to Soccer Reform, and I don’t know that you necessarily want that. It would, however, be free!
