Prime Minister’s Question Time: The Answers

As I’m sure will the case with most of you, I am in the midsts of July 4 festivities (also known as hanging out at my sister’s house with my family, eating a lot and picking up loot from my recent birthday), so I hope you will understand that I might not be able to give direct credit to those who submitted answers this week.  If you did, please pat yourself on the back via the comments section.  If you didn’t, shame on you!  This may have been the easiest PMQT yet, all it required was Wikipedia and a little reading…a little foreknowledge of my views on the “Old Firm” (which, technically, may not exist any more- WOOO!) may also have been helpful.  Anyway, here, to refresh your memories, is the list of clubs I gave you last week.

  • Third Lanark F.C.
  • SpVgg Blau-Weiss 1890 Berlin
  • Dolphin F.C.
  • Racing White Daring Molenbeek
  • Rangers F.C.
  • Real Club Espana
  • Drumcronda F.C.
  • Olympique Lillois
  • Venus Bucuresti
  • Alumni A.C.

All I wanted to know is what these clubs had in common?  As at least one person noted, none of them exist any more.  That is correct, but beyond that, all of these clubs were winners of their countries top division on at least one occasion- most on many occasions.  See, that’s all there was to it.

I hope you’re all stuffing yourselves with meat in tube form, working on your sunburn suntan, and protecting your precious digits from what are most likely illegal fireworks.

Happy Fourth of July!!

Also, suck it, Rangers.

I’m on board with “Happy Suck It Rangers Day”. Though that could be every day. In fact, SHOULD be every day.
